NFTs adoption has been on the rise across multiple sports. With more than 8000 sports played across the world, NFTs are already disrupting the sports ecosystem. Currently, NFT opportunities in the sports have been predominantly in digital trading cards, player’s artwork, avatars, match content, videos and event ticketing. According to Deloitte Global, NFTs for sports media will generate more than US$2 billion in transactions in 2022, doubling the figure from 2021 and with 4–5 million sports fans being part of the NFT ecosystem.

Amidst all of this, altiusDAO aims to establish itself as the biggest change agents for IRL sports in metaverse. On 26th January ’22, altiusDAO had launched ‘Milkha Singh Collectibles’ which included rare NFT collection of the sporting life of India Legendary sprinter Late. Milkha Singh. Now, altiusDAO aims to give a new perspective to the sports NFTs art by giving a global stage to sports photographers and launching a specially curated collection of sports photographs. The collection has been named “Sports in Motion” as it captures eccentric essence and visualisation imagery of motions across various sports. Run by its ethos of democratizing and supporting sports, altiusDAO will use a portion of income generated through the sale of this collections towards supporting young athletes.

Sports in Motion collection is specially curated collection of single edition 16 NFTs photographs of 4 acclaimed international sports photographers. These NFTs will be priced in range of 0.75 ETH – 1.0 ETH. The NFT holders also get additional utilities in form of altiusDAO tokens in future. Sports in Motion collection will be launched on Foundation and will be available for sale from 10th of March ’22.
